Watch: IAF chief's veiled warning to China, Pakistan on 'violating territory' | 89th Air Force Day

The Indian Air Force's prompt actions in response to developments in eastern Ladakh last year were a testament to the combat readiness of the force, Chief of Air Staff Air Chief Marshal V R Chaudhary said. He added that the IAF must demonstrate to the nation that external forces won't be allowed to violate its territory. Air Chief Marshal VR Chaudhary was addressing air warriors on the 89th Air Force Day. As IAF celebrates its 89th anniversary, the parade was held at Hindon Air Base in Ghaziabad. Prime Minister Narendra Modi extended greetings & said IAF is synonymous with courage, diligence, professionalism. On the occasion, fighter jets Sukhoi Su-30 & Rafale put up an air display at the airbase. The air display was started with flag-bearing skydivers of the famous AKASH GANGA Team. The flypast included heritage aircraft, modern transport aircraft & frontline fighter aircraft. IAF chief VR Chaudhari also presented the Vayu Sena Medal - Gallantry to the officers. Naval Chief Admiral Singh, Army Chief General Naravane & CDS General Rawat were present at the event.
