A body was found floating in Ballona Creek near the Playa Vista neighborhood Monday morning –– prompting the authorities to launch an investigation. Emergency responders arrived at the bike path running parallel to the creek, near the Lincoln Boulevard crossing, around 8:45 a.m. after a caller reported seeing a person in the water.
