High-energy cosmic ghost traced back to 'Shadow Blaster' galaxy

Zooming in on JCMT0402−0424, nicknamed “Shadow Blaster,” a galaxy located approximately 11 billion light-years from Earth. Scientists have identified this distant cosmic powerhouse as the most likely source of the high-energy neutrino event IC 210922A, detected by the IceCube Neutrino Observatory in 2021.
