Asteroid 2012 TC4 (measuring between 30 and 100 feet) could be as close as 4,200 miles (6,800 kilometers) from Earth’s surface on Oct. 12, 2017. Coincidentally, it came within 59,000 miles (95,000 kilometers) on Oct. 12, 2012.
