Blake Lively’s lawyers have subpoenaded Justin Baldoni’s phone records to support her claim that he orchestrated a smear campaign against her. Lively is suing her 'It Ends With Us' director and co-star Baldoni, alleging he and his team targeted her online in retaliation for her sexual harassment complaints on set. Her lawyers have already obtained messages from Baldoni’s publicist, Jennifer Abel, in which she details efforts to “bury” & “destroy” Lively. They are now seeking more evidence on how the campaign was executed. Subpoenas were also sent to AT&T, Verizon, & T-Mobile for records related to Baldoni, producer Jamey Heath, Wayfarer Studios co-founder Steve Sarowitz, Abel, and publicist Melissa Nathan. Lively’s lawyers are also seeking records from Cloudflare, AOL, and crisis consultant Jed Wallace, who denies leading a “digital army” against her and countersues for defamation. A spokesperson for Lively claims the records will expose those involved and provide irrefutable evidence of the retaliation. Baldoni’s attorney, Bryan Freedman, has dismissed the request as a “massive fishing expedition,” arguing that they are asking for 2.5 years worth of calls, texts, & location data without a valid reason. Lively’s team initially planned to file an amended complaint but requested an extension due to new allegations. Despite there being no opposition from Baldoni’s team, Judge Lewis J. Liman granted only a four-day extension.
