President Trump spoke about the movement of the migrant caravan and reports that members threw rocks at the Mexican police. Trump said U.S. military at the border should consider rocks as a rifle if they are on the receiving end of rock throwing. "We will consider that the maximum we can consider that because they are throwing rocks viciously and violently," Trump said about rocks. "You saw that three days ago. Really hurting the military. We're not going to put up with that. If they want to through rocks at our military, our military fights back. We're going to consider it. I told them to consider it a rifle. When they threw rocks like they did at the Mexican military and police, I say consider it a rifle." Earlier in his media availability, <a href="https://www.realclearpolitics.com/video/2018/11/01/trump_to_caravan_rocks_will_be_considered_a_firearm_i_hope_military_wont_shoot.html">the president said he hoped that the military would not shoot at the caravan</a> if they arrive at the border. "Anybody throwing stones, rocks, like they did to the Mexican military where they badly hurt police and soldiers of Mexico, we will consider that a firearm," Trump said. "Because there is not much difference when you get hit in the face with a rock, which as you know, it was very violent a few days ago. Very, very violent. It was a break in of a country. They broke into Mexico."
