Rep. Ivory cut off in hearing

Members of the Utah House Education Committee cut off Rep. Ken Ivory as he started to read what he said was a passage from “House of Earth and Blood” by Sarah J. Maas during a committee hearing at the Capitol Tuesday, Jan. 23, 2024. Ivory's bill would require books to be removed from schools statewide if at least three Utah school districts banned the same book, or at least two Utah school districts and five charter schools did. Rep. Candice Pierucci cuts Ivory off and refers to the point of order from House Minority Leader Rep. Angela Romero.
