A six-year-old boy who injured his neck in a playground accident went for a week before the serious injury was discovered. Jake Boast from Long Stratton was straight back on his feet after the fall leading no one to realise the seriousness of his injuries. It was not until an x-ray -carried out one week after initial accident- revealed the youngster had broken his neck that he was rushed to hospital. Now, learning of Jake’s misfortune, his boxing club have rallied round in wishing one of its youngest members a speedy recovery, even getting former professional boxers Ricky Hatton and Anthony Crolla to wish the youngster well.
