A 14-year-old boy was shot in the back and killed in a possible botched scooter robbery in Queens Monday afternoon, police and sources said. The teen was shot at about 3:40 p.m. outside of 51-24 Beach Channel Drive in Edgemere – an area residents say is a notoriously dangerous neighborhood. He was rushed by EMS to Long Island Jewish Children’s Hospital, where he was later pronounced dead, according to authorities.
