Gingivitis Associated with Pregnancy Potentially Leads to Pre-Term birth and Even Fetus Death

Dr. Yiping Han, from Case Western Reserve University, talks with Dr. Mike Milligan at the American Academy for Oral-Systemic Health 2nd Annual Scientific Session at the Cleveland Clinic. She talks about mild gingivitis associated with pregnancy can lead to pre-term birth or even sudden fetus death. She warns that women should have healthy gums prior to and during pregnancy in order to prevent complications for the baby.
