Welcome to Kick Point’s Operation Club Championships. The task Dan has been set is simple - win his home Club Championships (nett). Sounds doable, right? Here’s the problem… Dan's game has been going backwards, his handicap has been going up, and he hasn't played in a 36-hole medal since he was 16, which, despite his young looks, is a long, long time ago. So, to try and give myself an advantage and an edge on his fellow Fulford Heath members, he's enlisted the help of his friend, co-host and PGA Professional Joe Ferguson to be my chief strategist and caddy for the two-day competition. But that’s not enough. I’ve also enlisted some of the industry’s finest equipment experts and industry-leading shot-tracking technology to get my gear and strategy into perfect shape. First up in this series: equipment. Joe and Dan headed down to the finest equipment fitting centre in the UK, Precision Golf, to spend a few hours with owner and all-round gear guru Simon Cooper. Joe’s old boss and legend of the equipment fitting world, Simon’s task was to get into the nitty-gritty of Dan's current set-up and optimise it to get him playing the best golf possible. In this video, Joe, Simon and Dan work through my entire bag to make sure every swing weight, lie angle and loft is perfectly in order ahead of this big event - can Simon help build Dan a perfect bag of tricks ahead of the Club Championships?
