Apple Releases iPhone Update With New AI Feature

Apple has rolled out its highly anticipated Apple Intelligence feature in the latest iOS 18.1 update. Available now for download, this new AI suite is accessible exclusively to the iPhone 16 line and last year’s iPhone 15 Pro, though only for devices set to the US. Unveiled earlier in the year as a groundbreaking set of AI tools, Apple Intelligence was highlighted at the iPhone 16 launch but was initially absent from the device. With iOS 18.1, Apple has introduced features such as notification summaries, enhanced writing tools, and an updated look for Siri. However, not all the promised capabilities are here yet. The company plans to release additional features over the coming months, including “genmoji” for creating custom emoji and a more contextually aware Siri. Apple Intelligence has also arrived on iPadOS 18.1 and macOS 15.1, available for download now on iPads with the M1 chip or later and the new iPad Mini, as well as recent Macs.
