Blastoff! Japan's Epsilon Rocket Launches 7 Satellites

The Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency's (JAXA) solid-fueled Epsilon rocket launched seven different satellites into orbit from Uchinoura Space Center on Jan. 17, 2018. The payload consisted of the RAPid Innovative payload demonstration Satellite-1 (RAPIS-1)” developed by JAXA via consignment to Axelspace Co., Ltd. and six ultra-small satellites. Credit: JAXA
