NASA's Mars Perseverance rover travels across its 1st AI-charted route

In December of 2025, scientists successfully employed artificial intelligence to plan a course for NASA's Perseverance Mars rover to roll across. The vehicle's navigation cameras captured imagery of this two-and-a-half hour drive along Jezero Crater's rim and it's time-lapsed here.
