80% of Americans are increasingly concerned about the possibility of World War III, according to a recent Talker Research survey The poll, conducted among 1,000 US citizens evenly split between Republicans, Democrats, and third-party voters, highlights a growing fear of global conflict A significant 84% of Republicans and 83% of third-party voters share these concerns, while nearly three-quarters of Democrats (74%) also believe a new world war is on the horizon The heightened concern comes amid ongoing international conflicts, including Russia’s invasion of Ukraine and the escalating Israel-Palestine violence Interestingly, Americans are more worried about the situation in the Middle East (55%) than in Eastern Europe (28%) Women, in particular, are more concerned about the prospect of war than men, with 85% expressing anxiety compared to 71% of men When it comes to leadership in such turbulent times, 50% of respondents believe Donald Trump would be a better commander-in-chief than Kamala Harris (41%) As global tensions rise, Americans remain uneasy about the role their country could play in the next global conflict, with many fearing the consequences of US involvement in any future wars
