Tourist jumps into raging waters near 262-foot waterfall to retrieve dropped cellphone

Seemingly putting his life in peril, a tourist made a risk-filled jump into the waters of the largest waterfall system in the world, Iguazu Falls, to retrieve his dropped phone. The incident, reported by Jam Press, occurred on Saturday, June 6, on the Brazilian side of the falls — straddling the border between that country and Argentina — and was captured by other tourists. Per the Brazilian authorities, if and when an item falls into the Iguaçu River, guests are encouraged to contact the on-site fire brigade, which will then determine whether recovery is possible.
