Sebastian Crawford, a 17-year-old senior at Rancho High School, was just awarded a $25,000 Horatio Alger Scholarship. Sebastian was inspired to become an aerospace engineer after watching the 2014 movie Interstellar. But his quest has become complicated. At the start of his junior year, Sebastian became homeless. He no longer lives with his father and grandmother, and never really knew his mother. Despite that, Sebastian has a 3.65 GPA and has applied to a number of prestigious universities.
