Purr-fectly Spooky! Hubble & Webb Reveal Cosmic Cat in Space

A ghostly cosmic cat is lurking 7,500 light-years from Earth! Just in time for Halloween, NASA's Hubble and James Webb Space Telescopes have revealed spectacular new views of the Cat's Head Nebula, an eerie star-forming region within the massive Carina Nebula. Hubble's visible-light observations reveal a dark pillar of dust resembling a cat with a mysterious glowing eye. But Webb's powerful infrared vision peers through the dust, exposing hidden young stars, delicate filaments and intricate structures. Credit: Space.com | footage courtesy: NASA, ESA, CSA, STScI, J.
