A rather unpleasant video has emerged from Australia of a man lying in hospital with a horrific spider bite injury on his leg. The footage, filmed in Camperdown, New South Wales, Australia at the weekend, shows the injured man lying in hospital with a nasty, one-inch hole in his thigh, as the wound is cleaned out by a member of staff. The man was bitten while gardening but initially thought nothing of it, until three days later when the wound had grown much larger. When he went to hospital he was told that he had been bitten by a white-tailed spider, a species that injects poison that eats way at the flesh. He required emergency surgery and now faces a two-week stint in hospital, during which he'll unluckily have to celebrate his birthday. He later wrote online that he was only in the garden because he and his housemates had split cleaning duties and he had chosen gardening because he didn't want to do the bathroom. "Lesson is, clean the bathroom," he added online. 57698
