Rep. Ro Khanna: When Biden Said The Pandemic Is Over, He Was Trying To Say "The Worst Of The Pandemic Is Over"

Rep. Ro Khanna (D-CA) insisted that President Biden meant the "worst" of the COVID pandemic is over after <a href="https://www.realclearpolitics.com/video/2022/09/19/biden_the_pandemic_is_over.html">he flatly declared the pandemic over in an interview with Scott Pelley on '60 Minutes.'</a> "So are those in his party, all of them, going to get the memo, are they going to end the mandates and the restrictions still happening in many states?" FNC host Sandra Smith asked. "I think what the president was trying to say is that the worst of the pandemic is over. Look, when you give a lot of interviews and every word is dissected as I know," Khanna said. "A lot of interviews might be a stretch," Smith responded. "Obviously there's still long COVID, people who are vulnerable who have issues. I just got my booster shot for Omicron. I don't think we can be complacent about it. But what he was trying to say is, life is largely returned to normal," Khanna said. "No," Smith stopped him. "He said the pandemic is over." "The way that I would phrase it is the worst of the pandemic is over, that is how I would phrase it and that is my view and that is what the president's intention was. Obviously, he's entitled to his expression but I think they have done a tremendous job to get a lot of people vaccinated," Khanna insisted.
