Cultural curator Roger Gastman follows up his 2011 “Art in the Streets” exhibition at the Museum of Contemporary Art in Los Angeles with a new exhibition that touts itself as the biggest street art show ever. Titled “Beyond the Streets,” the exhibition builds upon Gastman’s previous effort with more than 40,000 square feet of industrial indoor and outdoor spaces, including a full-size, playable handball court and historical recreation of California’s Venice Pavilion by adidas Skateboarding. Artists exhibited at “Beyond the Streets” include André Saraiva, Barry McGee, DABSMYLA, Dennis Hopper, FUTURA 2000, Jean-Michel Basquiat, Keith Haring, POSE, RETNA, REVOK, RIME, Shepard Fairey, Takashi Murakami, and more than 100 others. Enjoy our tour of the massive show, as provided by Gastman himself.
