Facebook's recent struggles have investors in a panic — and looming regulation could forever change how it does business

Fidelity portfolio manager Nidhi Gupta says privacy concerns are real but don´t change long-term innovations. "When delivering a service that billions of people are using, the hardest constituency to please is your user base. Regulations may actually lag what these platforms need to do to keep users happy." According to Gupta, the issue ultimately comes back to user trust which these companies have always had to manage.
