What You Can Do About Phishing

On this episode of I.T. Security, John Huston with the I.T. Services Department at Les Olson Company talks with host Ethan Millard about how to avoid phishing. Phishing is when someone asks you to intentionally give up personal information so they can exploit it and use it for malice. If you think you are smarter than this, you might be surprised. It's not just the foreign emails you are getting that say there is a bunch of money waiting for you. It can actually look like a real email, addressed to you, asking for a bank account number, or a social security number. Basically, just don't open an email if it looks fishy, because it might be phishing.
