Longtime South Carolina Republican Senator Lindsey Graham died on July 11 at age 71 after a brief and sudden illness. Graham served in the Senate since 2003, holding senior roles on the Budget, Judiciary and Appropriations committees, and was a leading voice on national security and foreign policy. Just one day before his death, he met with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky in Kyiv to discuss air defense and sanctions against Russia.
