This recipe produces a phenomenal stuffing as written, but feel free to add your own twists. Grated parmesan, for example, would take this over the top. But while you can substitute your own cornbread (left out to grow stale), it's not worth the trouble. Save the fresh stuff to eat warm, with plenty of butter.
