Trump to Women: "It Is A Very Special Time," "I'm Happy A Lot Of These Things Are Coming Out"

President Donald Trump commented on Alabama Senate candidate Roy Moore on Tuesday afternoon. He said the accused child molester "denies it." "He totally denies it, he says it didn't happen -- and you have to believe him also," the president said. "We don't need a liberal person in there -- a Democrat," he said referring to Alabama Democratic candidate Doug "Jones, I've looked at his record, he's terrible on crime. It is terrible on the border, it is terrible on crime, it is terrible on the military." "I can tell you a fact," the president said. "We do not need somebody who is going to be bad on crime, bad on borders, bad on the military, bad for the Second Amendment." One reporter shouted out: "Is an accused child molester better than a Democrat?" "Well, he denies it," the president replied. "Look at what is really going on, and all the things that have happened over the past 48 hours. He totally denies it, says it didn't happen, and you have to listen to him also. He said, 40 years ago, this did not happen." "Roy Moore denies it, that is all I can say," he explained upon further questioning. "And by the way -- he totally denies it." Another reporter asked: "What is your message to women, at this pivotal moment in history?" "Women are very special," he replied. "I think it is a very special time, because a lot of things are coming out, and I think it is good for our society. And I think it is very good for women. I'm happy a lot of these things are coming out. I'm very happy it is being exposed." "40 years is a long time. He's run eight races and this never came up," Trump added later, about Moore. Ge declined to speak about Democrats Al Franken and John Conyers.
