Former President Donald Trump defended the rights of parents and slammed the Biden administration's proposed "disinformation governing board" at a rally on Friday: "When we win this November, in this coming midterm which I think it may be will be the most important in our country's history, we will fight and win for Pennsylvania and our country itself because our country is in serious trouble. We will win and we will stop this horrible, horrible onslaught with a Republican Congress. We must defend parents' rights. No teacher should ever be allowed to teach transgender to our children without parental consent. We will save our kids and we will also keep men the hell out of women's sports. In addition, we will get Critical Race Theory out of our schools, out of our military, out of every part of our federal, state, and local governments... one of our highest priorities will be to crack down on left-wing censorship and restore free speech in America. We don't have free speech. We don't have free speech and we have a totally crooked press. All of them back there. We will immediately terminate Joe Biden's so-called disinformation governing board, how about that one? A chilling and un-American power grab that we will not allow to stand."
