Candace Owens on engaging senators about The First Step Act, a bill that, according to advocates, would revise federal law, including banning shackling of pregnant or postpartum women, putting in place a credit system to reduce prison time and increasing training programs to facilitate successful reentry into civil society. Owens along with a group of black conservatives visited some U.S. Republican senators and urge them to support the bill.
