Sun blasts slew of powerful Earth-directed solar flares

A trio of sunspots on the Sun erupted with X- and M-class solar flares between June 30 and July 2, 2026. The eruptions were captured by NASA's Solar Dynamics Observatory (SDO) and ESA's Solar and Heliospheric Observatory (SOHO).
