Lucknow: Residents from Uttar Pradesh's Lalpur village in Maharajganj caught a dangerous leopard and manhandled the animal. A video of the incident featured young men walking around with their hands around the predator's neck. The leopard appeared extremely frightened. Following the incident, the forest department arrived at the location and took control of the situation. The video of villagers walking around with the leopard miffed many netizens online. They claimed that the residents mistreated the animal and condemned those involved. Online users also rebuked the authorities for not interfering early and capturing the animal themselves.
