Doocy to WH's Jean-Pierre: Why Is Biden Still Telling People That The Vaccinated Cannot Spread COVID?

Fox News correspondent Peter Doocy challenged White House deputy press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre at Thursday's press briefing on recent comments by President Biden on the spread of COVID. "Why is President Biden telling people still that the vaccinated cannot spread COVID?" Doocy asked. "Can you say more?" a confused Jean-Pierre responded. "In a local interview on Tuesday, he said, 'How about making sure you’re vaccinated so you do not spread the disease to anybody else?' The CDC says people who get vaccine breakthrough infections can be contagious," Doocy told the press sec. "I didn’t hear this interview so I would have to see it in its full context," Jean-Pierre said. From the briefing:
Q And then just one more topic, really quick. Q Karine — MS. JEAN-PIERRE: We got to wrap it up. Q Okay. Just quickly — MS. JEAN-PIERRE: Yeah. Q Why is President Biden telling people still that the vaccinated cannot spread COVID? MS. JEAN-PIERRE: Can you — can you say more? Q Yeah. In a local interview on Tuesday, he said, “How about making sure you’re vaccinated so you do not spread the disease to anybody else?” The CDC says people who get vaccine breakthrough infections can be contagious. MS. JEAN-PIERRE: Well, I’ll say this: I — I didn’t hear this interview so I would have to see it in its full context. What I know and what the President believes is that we have to listen to the science. We have to listen to our public health officials. And that’s what the President believes.
