LA City Council members pulling in quarter-million-dollar salaries want the option to slash their regular meeting schedule to as little as one day a week. The 15-member council, whose base salaries start at $245,255 and climb to $270,389 for leadership posts, voted 12-0 on June 30 to advance a measure for the Nov. 3 ballot that would slash the City Charter’s minimum requirement from three regular meeting days a week to one.
