Donald Trump says it is "absolutely possible" that a judge of Muslim or Mexican heritage would treat him unfairly because of his political stances with regard to building a wall and temporarily banning Muslim refugees. He says it is "common sense" to judge someone by who their parents were and where they came from. "We have to stop being so politically correct in this country," Trump says. Trump notes that U.S. District Court Judge Gonzalo Curiel has treated him in a "hostile manner" because he is a member of "a club or society which is very strongly pro-Mexican." The <a href="http://dailycaller.com/2016/06/01/judge-presiding-over-trump-university-case-is-member-of-la-raza-lawyers-group/">Daily Caller</a> reported last week that Judge Curiel was a member of "La Raza Lawyers Of San Diego," a group associated with <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/La_Raza">La Raza</a>, a Latino advocacy group whose name roughly translates to: <i>The Race</i>. Last year, the racialist group held a reception honoring Curiel. The <A href="http://sdlrla.com/judiciary-reception-rsvp-today/">description of the event</a> says: "This year we are proud to be honoring Judge Gonzalo Curiel at our reception and recognizing him for his leadership and support to the community and to our Association!" César Chávez <A href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/National_Council_of_La_Raza#Criticism">was a critic of La Raza, saying that</a>: "I hear more and more Mexicans talking about la raza—to build up their pride. Some people don’t look at it as racism, but when you say ‘La Raza,’ you are saying it as an anti-gringo thing, and it won’t stop there." Trump said he is not rejecting a tradition that Americans "don't judge people by who their parents were and where they came from." "I'm not talking about tradition — I'm talking about common sense, OK?" Trump said. "[Curiel] is proud of his heritage. And I think that's great that he's proud of his heritage." "But he's not treating me fairly," Trump said. "I say he's got bias. I want to build a wall.
