The Kingsnake triumphs over larger, rival serpents. Researchers found that Kingsnakes do this by exerting an extremely strong constriction pressure. Compared to the Ratsnake, the Kingsnake's coils are more uniform and "organized," which is what allows them to produce much more squeezing pressure.
