2 Indian officials missing in Pakistan: Imran Khan govt relents after summons

India summoned a Pakistani diplomat over the disappearance of two Indians in Islamabad. New Delhi issued a strong demarche to Pakistan charge d'affaires Syed Haider Shah after Pakistani news reports suggested that two Indian high commission officials had been arrested in Islamabad. The two officials had left the mission premises in a car but didn't reach their destination on June 15, following which Indian officials filed a missing persons complaint and sought information from the Pakistani government. However, the Imran Khan administration ignored the requests, claiming that it was 'looking into the matter'. After India's summons, Islamabad relented and said that the officials would be released.
