Scarborough Hits Trump: "The Stupidity Is Breathtaking"; Incapable Of Moving On, Being Disciplined

Joe Scarborough compares Donald Trump's address on trade and economic policy and a campaign rally he held in Bangor, Maine Wednesday where he denounced the "sore losers" in the Republican race who refuse to honor their pledge to endorse the party's eventual nominee. Scarborough said Trump seems incapable of being a disciplined candidate and moving on. "The stupidity is breathtaking," Scarborough said on the Thursday broadcast of MSNBC's Morning Joe. "The stupidity is breathtaking. Here you have a guy that delivers a speech that actually can convert Democrats in Ohio and Pennsylvania and across the rust belt. "And then he goes off on GOP candidates," Scarborough said. "They're not going to endorse him now. He keeps knocking them around like that, that's the last way to get people to endorse you." Scarborough said this shows Trump is obsessed and undisciplined because no one cares, including Trump, if he gets the endorsement of Jeb Bush or John Kasich. "Who cares? Who cares if Jeb Bush endorses him? Who cares if John Kasich endorses him? He's obsessed -- it's like when he was ahead in 49 states in polls, but just losing in Iowa. He went to Iowa and called people in Iowa stupid. I wonder why he lost in Iowa. He said, what are you stupid? The guy, is he capable of being disciplined and moving on or not?" Scarborough asked. "There's got to be consistency every single day," Scarborough hammered. "If he doesn't have the discipline to do that every day, Hillary Clinton's going to blow him out. If he had the discipline that he showed in Pennsylvania and in Ohio two days ago and if he carries that over the course of the campaign, this is going to be an incredibly fascinating race." Transcript:
SCARBOROUGH: If you're going to turn the page, Mika, you have to turn the page. You've got to unite the entire Republican party and then you've got to move forward. You can't have one day, I'm going to read the teleprompter today and then the next day go, 'I'm going back to July of 2015.' There's got to be consistency every single day.
